Not a clue but i can tell you this. While i type this i bet sony is making blueprints about playstation 4 and won't release it until around 2015-2018. NOT 2010! But i bet playstation 4 would probably have support up to 15.1 surround sound and 1280i support. or else they could turn to virtual reality if they could make our 3-d living world into a 10 dimensional world by just wearing a helmet that inserts you into the game and at any time you can get out. but that's just my imagination but the release date is real. but who's thinking about playstation 4? Playstation 3 rocks and this year is the year of the ps3. Playstation home! screw 360

I heard PlayStation 4 is currently in progress of being made by Sony. And I wonder if it's done and going to be released anytime soon like by 2013 or 2014? Is this true?

What would you say if Sony came up with a PlayStation 4 in 2010 or 2011?

Whould you be shocked if Sony made an eighth-generation video game system called the PlayStation 4 in 2010 or 2011? And would you stick with the Xbox 360 instead of buying a PS4? Or would you save thousands of dollars$ and go buy a PS4? I know there's no such thing? But I went on the internet and they said Sony may just come up with a PS4 in 2010 or 2011. So in the future, would you still stick with your 360, or spend a fortune on a PS4?

They would have to do a LOT for me to buy one at release. Playstation has had a lot of staying power in the market (they just quit releasing games for the PSone in '05). Sony will probably wait until 2014 at least before they bring another system to the market. Xbox on the other hand has already killed off the original altogether, and Nintendo has showed us that they're more interested in gamers buying new systems than continue support for old systems (except the GBA). Nintendo is learning the error in their ways, I just hope Microsoft learns the same lesson.
But if Sony does release another system in three years, it'd better make my coffee and rub my feet after work.

Not much is said about it, but that doesn't mean that they aren't thinking about it, I heard that sony has already been think about ideas on how to upgrade the PS3 and ideas for the new PS4. Microsoft also has a few new things coming out and a possibility of a new Xbox.
Don't know much about it though, or when it will come out, only time will tell, and it might be a long time before they announce a new console so, for the time being, just wait, no pictures have been out on the internet, the ones you see on YouTube and stuff like that, are probably fake.
