is the playstation 2 resident evil 4 as good as the gamecube version?

i have my old gamecube packed in a plastic box with the resident evil games, ive not played it for years or got it out either.
my old playstation 2 is nearer at hand in my bedroom where im lay with an unopened playstation 2 version of resident evil 4 ? which i got off ebay a while back..
but i just wondered is it as good as the gamecubes version ? worth opening up from the cellophane and playing it on the playstation 2 ?

The PS version is actually way better. The gamecube version doesn't have the "Separate Ways" minigame or the alternate outfits (Leon's gangster outfit and Ashley's suit of armor).
I originally played RE4 on the Gamecube, but when I found out about the additional content that the PS and Wii versions of the game had, I went out and bought a Wii just so I could play RE4 on it. xD It was totally worth it.

Consistently I get the message 'Connection with one or more players has been lost' when I'm either loading up a game or in the lobby. Unfortuantly this disconnects me and I have to search again and it can take ages for me to actually get a game. Am I the only one having this problem and if so is this down to my connection?
