According to the site, the next-gen Xbox CPU is comprised of two modules, each containing four x64 cores running a single thread at 1.6 GHz.
The next Xbox, codename Durango, is said to utilise a D3D11.x 800MHz graphics solution and 8GB of DDR3 RAM.
According to another Durango report, the new console will utilise 50GB Blu-ray discs and store data on a 500GB HDD.
Last week Sony officially unveiled the PlayStation 4 in New York, which is set to utilise an 8-core x86-64 AMD "Jaguar" CPU, 1.84 TFLOPS AMD GPU and 8GB of GDDR5 RAM.
If you aks me the Xbox rumours make it sound absolutely shite.

The PS4 does sound alot better, with those specs. I wouldn't say the next Xbox is going to suck, until Microsoft actually revils the thing.

I am wondering whether to get a budget gaming PC or the next gen of consoles. What do you think the next gen will cost?
I would have a £350-450 budget on the PC. I think the consoles would cost less, but they would have more expensive games, worse graphics, no mods etc.

Sony said they're going to try to lengthen the PS3's lifespan as much as they can. They believe for another 6 years at least. It will probably be announced in 2011, but nothings guaranteed.
They just released the Playstation Move, which should help with their goal of 6 year's lifespan so 2012 or 2013 are probably the closest. There are lots of rumors though, so it could be sooner. But remember it takes a long time to produce these things, so hold your breath and wait for a announcement. ;L

The only reason why I want the Playstation 4 is because it's probably going to be better then the Playstation 3, but the Playstation 3 may drop price, Which one should I get?

I would advise waiting for the PS4 at this stage for a few reasons.
1. More time to save up for it
2. You can then decide whether you want the latest gen console or not yet avoid feeling like you missed out coz you made a decision too soon
3. PS3 will also likely be reduced in price so even if you decide on that you've saved money
4. Games for PS3 will likely be a bit cheaper too as many would have traded their old console in
