I am wondering whether to get a budget gaming PC or the next gen of consoles. What do you think the next gen will cost?
I would have a £350-450 budget on the PC. I think the consoles would cost less, but they would have more expensive games, worse graphics, no mods etc.

Sony said they're going to try to lengthen the PS3's lifespan as much as they can. They believe for another 6 years at least. It will probably be announced in 2011, but nothings guaranteed.
They just released the Playstation Move, which should help with their goal of 6 year's lifespan so 2012 or 2013 are probably the closest. There are lots of rumors though, so it could be sooner. But remember it takes a long time to produce these things, so hold your breath and wait for a announcement. ;L

It's likely to be at least five or six years before the PS4 comes along. It will probably cost around the £500 mark, but we don't really know, it depends what tech it will have, and what it will cost to build:)
